the line… turned out to not be a line for me

so to start out, this blog entry would be much more amusing with the incorporation of the pictures i took on my exploration of the line. however, due to technical difficulties the pictures refuse to go from camera to computer. if at a later date i am able to make it work i will post the pictures.
i guess i’ll start out with a description of how this started. i was somehow able to talk my friend jordan into going on this hike with me. jordan is a 6’3″ rugby player and obviously had no idea what he had actually agreed too. off we go into the woods. it all seemed good. we’re hiking up hill. i’m seeing other kids from the class. i’m taking pictures. and then it starts looking creepy. i specifically remember not being in this are. jordan is now visibly exhausted and confused. so i, being the hiking expert i am, decide if we keep walking up the hill i will eventually figure out where i am. all of a sudden there are spider webs everywhere. i’m freaking out. jordan is laughing at me. I’m lost. and thats when i decide to say screw it. we’re going back. so jordan and i begin to make our way down the hill. i was fully expecting to end up in the general area of where we came in. well i was off a little. after walking for what seemed like a year, i start to notice a clearing. i yelled for jordan to keep up but he’s panting away back there. so i head towards the clearing and realize, i still don’t know where we are. we have a gorgeous view of the hills, but were now behind a building and neither of us know what it is. to make matters worse, we’re standing on a cliff. there is a steep drop down and neither of us are sure of how to get down. luckily, jordan stops a suspicious looking path for us to follow down. it got the job done, but let me tell you. i will not be using that path again. turns out we ended up behind ann’s house, which actually isn’t that far from the line when you look at it. but it felt like we had been gone for hours and felts like we were miles away. needless to say, jordan refuses to come hiking with me again.
